Getting Started
Gabe Career turns your real work experience into interview-ready stories, job matches, and application materials. Here's the fastest path to your first real result:
- Complete setup: accept policies, add contact info, set your career goal, upload your resume or add your work history.
- Check your Dashboard. It tells you exactly what to do next based on how complete your profile is.
- Do one Career Intelligence conversation or Interview session. The more real detail you give it, the better your matches and documents get.
- Run a Job Analysis on a real posting you're interested in. See your match score and what's missing.
- Generate a tailored resume or full Application Package for that job.
That's the loop: build your profile, check your fit, generate materials, apply.

Career Intelligence & Interview
Most people undersell their own experience, not because they lack accomplishments, but because they don't know how to describe them in the way an evaluator is listening for. Career Intelligence and the AI Career Discovery Interview ask you real questions about what you did and what happened as a result, then turn strong answers into profile material. Give real examples, include numbers when they're true (money saved, time saved, team size, results), and review every suggested update before saving it, since accuracy matters more than speed here.

See BLS wage data for your target roles, plus web-sourced benchmarks from Salary.com, ZipRecruiter, and Glassdoor when available. This is available on paid plans. Use it before you negotiate, not after.

Suggested next steps and learning resources based on your career goals and current gaps.
Finding and Evaluating Jobs
Job Analysis
Before you apply to anything, run the posting through Job Analysis. It shows your match score, which parts of your background already fit, and what's missing, plus follow-up questions to help surface relevant experience you haven't added yet. Run it again after you update your profile with new information. This is the single highest-leverage habit for improving your application quality.
Creating Application Materials
Generate Resume & Application Package Studio
Create a general resume for broad use, or a tailored resume built specifically for one job. Once you've run a Job Analysis, Application Package Studio can build a full set: tailored resume, cover letter, ATS review, and interview prep guide, matched to that specific posting, not a generic template. Availability of each document type depends on your plan. Always read everything before sending it to an employer, you're responsible for its accuracy.
Federal and Military Tools
Federal Intelligence
Federal hiring runs on rules most applicants never see. Federal Intelligence enforces OPM standards, including the rule that military rank or job title alone cannot substitute for documented specialized experience; only duties performed count. The FES Grade Assessment is a practice tool to help you prepare, not an official grade decision.
Military Transition
Military Pack tools are available after military service is verified. They help you record military service details and use military experience in federal career tools. Gabe Career does not currently have a separate Military Transition page.
Other Tools
Legacy Dossier
A paid add-on that connects your Gabe Career resume content to your own WordPress site so you can publish it there. Keep your connection token private; it functions like a password.
Gabe Talent
Not live yet. Opting in only means Gabe Career will notify you when it launches. Your information is not shared with employers by opting in.
